Follow along as dinos travel over the river and through the woods to join together with family. They enjoy favorite activities, including a corn maze, a televised parade with giant balloon creations, and of course a football game between the Redscales and the Snackers! The dinos share in not one but two feasts–one for the carnivores and another for the veggie-saurs. Join in the fun as the dinos find much to be thankful for on this special holiday!

Review

This is a cute story about Thanksgiving as celebrated by dinosaurs. The illustrations are really cute, but the text leaves something to be desired. It’s told in a rhyming format and sometimes the wording is really awkward to try to make it work. Also all the dinosaurs have names that are (I think) plays on their actual names – like a Triceratops calls “Tricera.” I don’t know, it didn’t really do it for me. Lots of talk about football, haha. The pictures are cute, but it got kind of long. It did give us an opportunity to talk about our favorite Thanksgiving foods, what it means to be “thankful,” and what we’re thankful for.
