Basketball club manager Yuki has a secret-she’s in love with the team captain! But when Naruse, her cheeky kouhai, discovers her big secret, she’s in a tight spot! Just how long is he going to keep teasing her about it!? Stupid pretty playboy…

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I really like this “cheeky” little high school romance manga. Second-year Yuki, the basketball club manager, is in (unrequited) love with the basketball team captain, an third-year who is very serious and straight-laced. Along comes first-year Naruse, a wild-child playboy, who discovers her secret – and seems to develop some feelings of his own!

There are some very funny and typical high school rom-com moments in this volume, as well as some very sweet romantic scenes as well. I love the dynamic between the wholesome and the super cool boys in the love triangle. Lots of people seem to be saying this reminded them of Kaichou wa Maid-sama. I don’t know, it reminds me more of Peach Girl – really cool but kind of odd-duck heroine, love triangle with a wholesome short-haired leader type and a floppy-haired bad boy… I can’t wait to read more of this series and see where this romance between Yuki and Naruse goes!

A digital ARC of this book was provided by the publisher via Edelweiss+ for review. All opinions are unbiased and my own.
