Summary
Fated to die as the villainess of an otome game, Mystia sets out to change her own unhappy ending!
Mystia Aren is the daughter of a noble family, and she just started high school. She’s surrounded by a group of adoring classmates and her charming fiancé. Everything seems perfect.
Except that this world is actually a dating sim called Kyun-Love, and Mystia knows she’s been reincarnated into the role of the main character’s evil rival! Mystia is determined to do everything she can to avoid her fate, but it’s not as easy as it sounds. Especially when all the boys keep falling in love with her!

Review
Volume 1 and then this volume have a lot of set-up, as Mystia finds herself reincarnated as the villainess in an otome game she’s played before. Not willing to meet her “character’s” original (gruesome) ending, Mystia sets about changing her narrative – but still trying to be careful to disrupt the main game narrative as little as possible. She just wants to give herself a chance at a better ending!
For the majority of this volume we once again follow Mystia at age 10, meeting folks who will be future potential love interests for the game protagonist. In the back half of this second volume, we finally return to where we started volume 1 – opening ceremony and the beginning of the first year of high school! It’s so interesting to see how the various wheels and cogs that Mystia has set in motion at age 10 (whether intentionally or unintentionally!) start moving now that high school – and the game – start in earnest. I can’t wait for volume 3!
