Wanted: one demon hunter. Beware the matchmaking ghosts.

After years managing a haunted hotel and estate, I thought things were good. Sure, the ghosts can be a handful—nosy, opinionated, interfering—but they’re also friendly and fun. We have a system. Everything was under control.

Cue hysterical laughter.

But after a minor blip with a demon in the basement and a vortex to the spirit world, the ghosts swear they have no more secrets. The danger is gone, and we’ve done everything we can to make the vortex safe. It should be fine. Nothing’s come through it for fifty years.

It’s never that easy at Mannix Estate.

Lucky for us, the demon expert we met online is willing and able to help us out. I’m so grateful, I’d willingly kiss his feet. Until he arrives and opens his mouth.

Connor is… a jerk. But he’s a sexy jerk who’s doing us a favor, so I’m going to be polite no matter what. Even when he makes me mad. When he flirts hard. When the roof falls in and we have to share a bed. When we realize the vortex upstairs is just the beginning.

Suddenly, Connor’s real strengths shine. Beneath the smoking hot yet annoying surface is a heart of gold, and I don’t think I can hold out against it… or that I want to.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

CONNOR. Good lord, I do not know what is wrong with that man but also I absolutely love him for it, haha! You may remember Connor from book one, you know, that guy that went by the handle NotEvenDemonsDeserveThis? From the second he showed up in Spirited Situation, I wanted him to PLEASE come and be a character. So when he turned out to be the MC for this second book? YESSSSS. And he gave me all the snarky attitude I wanted and more. *dreamy sigh*

Poor Kieran though, haha. Turns out Connor has a thing for gingers, and he’s set his eye on Kieran. Too bad Connor apparently never matured past the third grade, when boys bullied their crushes to show they like them… Their game of cat-and-mouse and back-and-forth banter are AMAZING, and I just love them both. GUH.

Once again, I also loved the relationships among the rest of the characters in this book as well. I knew in book one I was going to need Skye and Daniel’s book, and after reading their further interactions in this one I NEEEEEED it. It’s going to be book three, and I am very much the gif of the lady tapping her credit card on the counter. GIVE IT TO ME PLEASE, LOUISA!!

This is the second book in the Spirited Situation series, and while the romantic arc is complete in this one you’re going to want to read the series in order or you will be VERY lost. Also, Connor shows up as a side character (sort of…) in book one, and you won’t want to miss it! So start with book one, Spirited Situation, and then join me in the agony of waiting for book three, Conduit Crisis. 😉
