Summary

Will fake boyfriends become the real deal this holiday?

It’s the most wonderful time of the year—except ex-Marine Logan is jobless and getting evicted. Worse, he’s a new single dad with a stepson who hates him. A kid needs stability—not to mention presents under the tree—and Logan’s desperate.

Then he meets lonely Seth and makes a deal.

Can Logan temporarily pretend to be live-in boyfriends to increase Seth’s chances at a promotion? If it provides a roof over their heads for the holidays, hell yeah. Logan considers himself straight—he doesn’t count occasional hookups with guys—but he can fake it. Besides, with his shy little smile, Seth is surprisingly sexy.

Make that damn sexy.

Shocked that Seth has only been with one man, Logan can’t resist sweetening their deal to teach him the joys of casual sex. No strings attached. No feelings. No kissing.

No falling for each other.

Easy, right?

The Christmas Deal is a steamy holiday gay romance novel from Keira Andrews featuring fake boyfriends, bisexual awakening, a clueless single dad with an angry preteen, and of course a happy ending.

Review

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This is such a fun Christmas romp, while also at times really pulling at my heartstrings.

I love the chemistry between Seth and Logan. Seth thinks Logan is hot from the get-go, but he’s also his work bestie (and really only bestie) Jenna’s brother – oh, and the moment they meet each other they’re already thrown into a fake relationship to fool Seth’s boss. Oops! And then there’s Logan, who is “straight” because his relationships with men are purely physical. Oh honey.

Seth is all nervous energy, anxiety, and abandonment issues. Meanwhile, Logan is trying to find his feet again after recovering from a really bad injury, losing his job, losing his new wife, and gaining a teenage son. Did I mention losing his home? Yeah, dude has a LOT going on. They need each other, so maybe this “fake relationship” thing can work out in both of their favors after all…

The way their relationship develops, from grudging participants in a farce to slowly growing more comfortable with each other and then actively seeking the other out, is just lovely and cozy – the perfect vibes for Christmas. They have so many cute moments, and then poor Seth has to keep reminding himself that none of this is real – even if he wants very badly for it to be. The way all three of these boys – Seth, Logan, and Logan’s stepson Connor – want so desperately to be part of a family just breaks my heart. I want to hug them all and then share a slice of Christmas cake. 😉

This is the first book in the Festive Fakes series, and can be read as a stand-alone. I REALLY hope Connor’s book will be book three!!
